Types of Chines Student Visa
Chinese Study Visa is divided into X Visa and F Visa. X Visa is issued to aliens who come to China for advanced studies, or fieldwork for more than six months. F Visa is issued to aliens who come to China for simple or higher studies but for a period of less than six months. X visa is only for a month i.e. thirty days from the date of arrival during which time a student and his/her university or employer must seek a temporary residence permit for the duration of his/her study or internship, to a maximum of twelve months.
Chines Study Visa Requirements
i) Student’s original passport valid up to at least six months with at least one visa blank page
ii) One carefully completed Visa Application form
iii) One recent passport style color photo with full face, front view, no hat, and against a plain light background on the visa application form
iv) X visa applicant students should provide the original and copy of approved Foreign student visa application form (JW201 or JW202) issued by the Chinese authorized unit, and the admission notice from the Chinese school
v) F visa applicants student should provide the enrollment letter from the Chinese school
vi) For the applicant who will study in China for more than six months shall also provide a physical examination certificate for foreign citizen.
Chinese Student Visa Application Method
i) Student should submit the application directly to the visa office of the Chinese Embassies or Consulates in person or he/she can entrust someone else like friends or relatives, a travel agency or a visa agency to act on behalf of student if he/she can not come personally. Remember power of attorney is not require for this purpose
ii) Mailed applications (either electronic of posted) are not accepted and will be refused by most of Chinese embassies or consulates in overseas
Visa Processing Time
Four (4) working days are required for regular visa application processing. A surcharge of $35 or $50 shall apply for same day (Rush) or second or third working day ( Express) services respectively. All Rush applications should be submitted prior to 11 A.M.
